About Thian Leng Temple
Thian Leng Chong Toh Tong (天灵总道堂), also spelt Tian Ling, has stood at 472 Changi Road since the 1950s. Its tradition traces back to Jiangxi in China, and for decades it was known for taking in people trying to overcome opium addiction.
In 2021 the temple began a joint redevelopment with Nirvana Memorial Garden, completed in 2026. The new four-storey building keeps a prayer area for the temple's original devotees and adds a columbarium and ancestral tablet hall, watched over by a Buddha statue three storeys high.
